MAP® Growth is a computer-adaptive assessment that automatically adjusts question difficulty based on each student’s performance. Students who answer correctly receive more challenging questions, while those who answer incorrectly receive easier ones. This adaptive approach ensures every student is assessed at the right level.
At GATE, MAP® Math and MAP® Reading assess students’ Mathematics and English Reading abilities, from foundational to advanced levels. The results provide valuable insights for parents and educators to create a personalised learning pathway for each student.

In just 45 minutes per subject, it accurately identifies each student’s current instructional level using the RIT scale – a stable measure of academic achievement, regardless of whether a student is performing below, at, or above grade level. It also tracks academic growth over time, enabling parents and teachers to monitor progress throughout the school year and beyond.
Designed for students aged 3-17 (Kindergarten to Grade 12), MAP® Growth offers assessments in Math, Reading, Language Usage, and Science (optional).
